The lines wrapping around Anna and Alessandro convey a feeling of perpetual motion. They circle the body in a way that animates the composition, giving the two figurines a vivid and almost kinetic presence. Stripes, in all their forms, have always been one of my favorite motifs and have appeared throughout many of my collections.
