From the LCDC Collection...

The symbol of wisdom, Il Letterato (The Scholar) is one who contemplates the great design of life, an attentive observer who artfully tells the story of our human drama. This orange candle holder is a porcelain sculpture in the form of a bust. The upper part is adorned with a hat-like cylindrical container, designed to carefully protect the candle and its wisdom.

Made in Italy, the candle holder comes with six 1.4 oz. designer scented Orange Renaissance tealights. Fragrance notes for the candle include bergamot, black currant, mint, tuscan cypress, honey, musk.

About the Collection

Paying homage to the story of Catherine de' Medici and her journey to Paris, the LCDC, La Compagnia di Caterina, collection gives shape to the figures in her entourage: L'Amazzone (The Amazon), L'Amante (The Lover), Il Letterato (The Scholar), Il Seguace (The Companion), Il Favorito (The Favorite), Il Frate (The Friar), and La Dama (The Lady). Each member of Catherine de' Midici's court is considered a symbol of valor to aspire to, an ideal to ignite one's inner fire; to burn with passion, to nourish the fire of ambition, leadership and wisdom, to keep the flame of friendship, grace and generosity alive, and to show great courage even when everything goes up in smoke.
