Totem Penguin Vase, 12" by Richard Ginori
Product Description:
Totem Penguin Vase, 12" by Richard Ginori
The Totem collection by Richard Ginori was inspired by the wildest muse of all, Nature. Embellished with bright colors and color combinations inspired by the natural world, each piece depicts a symbolic animal: the Camel, symbol of faith and strength, the Squirrel, symbol of foresight and beauty, the Rat, symbol of wisdom, the Penguin, symbol of love and loyalty, the Monkey, symbol of game and curiosity and the Elephant, symbol of ancient wisdom and memory. Designed in eighteenth-century decorative tradition, when reproductions of symbolic animals enriched the cups of stately homes.

Richard Ginori was founded in 1735 near Florence, Italy. The Twentieth Century brought most of the current product designs by the company, tied with the pre-and-post-war explosion of Italian fashion and design, with notable designers such as Gio Ponti taking the firm in new and notable directions. In 2013 the firm was acquired by Gucci.
