Vault Time Machine Watch by Daniel Will-Harris for Projects
Projects Watches
Vault is an authentic analog machine for your wrist.
Vault reminds us that time is all around us–but the lines inscribed on the crystal clearly delineate the current time–the present time, every changing.
Locks represent our attempt to keep things “safe.” But the only way to play it safe with time is to constantly remember it exists.
Vault is unusual in that it tells the time in the 3 o’clock position–further punctuated by the setting crown. Because of this unique arrangement, we’re asked to consider the seconds first, then the minutes, then the hour–helping to further put time in perspective.
Vault features a lugless case which continues to the round theme of the lock…
The Vault Time Machine Watch is available with a brushed stainless steel case. It measures 40mm (1.57″) in diameter and has a 20mm wide black leather band. It is constructed with three discs that turn clockwise, not unlike the mechanism of a vault and markings on the underside of the glass lens that “mark time”. The watch measures 9 1/2″ from end to end with 7″ to the closest hole and 9 1/2″ inches from the farthest hole. The brushed stainless steel case is complemented with a brushed stainless steel buckle.
