Anna G Corkscrew, Delft by Alessandro Mendini for Alessi
The Delft decoration brings a gust of foreign elegance to the famous corkscrew, reinterpreting the art of Dutch ceramics. Mendini draws from the colors of the ancient tradition of Delftware in a totally personal manner: the charm of the decoration, noted the designer, “lies in generating evocative forms, drawing from the world of fables, childhood tales and the iconography of the agrarian memories of Dutch grandmothers”.
Alessandro M. represents the designer, while the classic Anna Corkscrew represents his fellow designer (and student at the time) Anna Gili.
