Eight & Bob Original Eau de Toilette 100 ml
The 'Eight & Bob' original scent- a scent with a mixed history of Kennedys, Hollywood, and Nazi Paris is unique and a refreshing in a marketplace of overwhelming scents.
When a young JFK ran into perfumier Albert Fouquet on the Cote d'Azur in 1937 he was struck by the scent Albert wore. Once back in the States he wrote Albert and requested eight samples, “and if your production allows, another one for Bob." Albert packaged the scent in boxes similar to the shirt JFK wore and labelled them 'Eight & Bob.' The scent was a hit, and Hollywood A-listers such as Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant clamored for more.
Unfortunately Albert was killed in a car accident in 1938. His butler, Philippe, continued to fulfill orders but the start of World War II forced him to leave his job with the Fouquet family. In the final shipments, Philippe hid the bottles inside books that he carefully cut by hand to prevent the Nazis from seizing the cologne. The Eau de Toilette is packaged in such a manner.
A vintage style scent, Eight & Bob is primarily fresh citrus with wood and vanilla notes. Marketed as a masculine scent due to JFK associations but definitely popular with women as well.
