A classic design based on the Roman cameo glass vase in the British Museum. The Portland Vase was a wonder of ancient glass production. 'Re-discovered' c. 1780 when it was brought to England, the vase caused a stir for over a hundred years- when John Northwood finally reproduced the piece. As an aside, a similar frenzy surrounded the Morgan Vase in the United States, although this was primarily due to the price associated with the original vase at auction.

- Very good condition with minor wear
- Some discoloration due to dust and dirt.
- No chips or cracks.
