B-Set Bowl by Hella Jongerius for Tichelaar Makkum
In 1999, Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum produced Hella Jongerius' seven-part porcelain dinner service, the B-Set. This was the first time in the company's history that it had produced items in porcelain. The B-Set focuses on the concept of imperfection. The B-Set is now considered an icon of Dutch design history and has been included in the collections of many international museums.
Amusespot has a number of new pieces from a limited colored series produced in 2007. Once they are gone, they are gone.

Hella Jongerius spent time working at the European Ceramics Work Center in Hertogenbosch where she experimented with clay by firing it at a high temperature. The result was a distortion of each piece, giving each piece a unique look. In 1993, she opened her own studio called Jongeriuslab. Her designs have been featured in a number of museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Design Museum in London, and the Stedelijik Museum in Amsterdam.
