Inspired by functionalist designs from the Art Deco period, the bowl features soft grooves whilst the dinner plate and lunch plate have more stringent ridges. Prince Sigvard Bernadotte (1907-2002) was educated at the Royal Art Academy in Stockholm in 1929. He was influenced by the breakthrough of functionalism and the functional ideals of elegance which are incorporated in his designs.
