Blossom Soup Ladle by Georg Jensen
Product Description:
Designed in 1905 by Georg Jensen, the Bloom cutlery pattern is delicate and genteel - representative of Jensen's intense and personal interpretation of the Art Nouveau style. The Blossom pattern is the result of Jensen's quest to unite art and craft through the organic forms of nature. The flower's stem winds itself upwards around the handle emerging as a flower bud on the verge of bursting open and illustrates Jensen's deep inspiration from nature.

In 1904 the Danish silversmith Georg Jensen (1866 - 1935) founded his first modest silver smithy in the heart of Copenhagen. Thirty years later, he had made an international name for himself. When he died in 1935, the New York Herald Tribune saluted him as "the greatest silversmith of the last 300 years."
