Designed by Marcel Wanders for Vista Alegre, the Blue Ming Collection is an updating of classic blue delftware and export porcelain.
Wanders has been interested in the juxtaposition of antique decor morphing with new technology- a similar foray is the Dressed series for Alessi.
Microwave and dishwasher safe. Vista Alegre suggests handwashing, however, as they are against heavy use of abrasives contained in dishwasher detergent on their products.

About the Company:
The Vista Alegre porcelain factory was founded in 1824, in Ílhavo, part of the Aveiro district (near the sea, in central Portugal). The company was the product of the heart and mind of a 19th century Portuguese entrepreneur and visionary, João Ferreira Pinto Basto.
