About the Company behind the Carpe Diem Gift Box:
Match Pewter is a brand by RISD graduate David Reiss in 1995, and he collaborates closely with Italian artisans, producing these designs. These were created in classic European form and set to market in the 14th through 19th centuries and many are cast from molds, but made from original antiques.
This Carpe Diem Box exlimplifies fine Italian craftsmanship and delights owners for housing small trinkets and as a gift.
About Match Pewter and Production
Pewter has an odd warmth in appearance that seamlessly melds with traditional, modern table settings. Constructing the gift box from lead free alloys of tin, copper and antimony; fda approved and food safe.
The “Seize the Day” message is a timeless expression of optimism and hope, a quietly elegant design and an effortless addition to any desktop or bedside table, but also serves as a thoughtful gift, for yourself and others.
The gift box is handcrafted in northern Italy and inspires as even the box highlights the metal’s pewter warm luster. Its exceptional durability ensures years of enjoyment, but that's not it! Match produces items as leading curators of the premier collection of artisanal Italian pewter, featuring timeless design and traditional craftsmanship. Perfect for small keepsakes, this box measures 2.5" wide, 3.8" in length and 1" high.
Cleaning your pewter by hand washing in warm water is ideal and remember to use liquid dish soap.
Dry the pewter gift box completely, allowing water to dry on pewter causes spots. Spots that do appear can be quickly and easily removed by polishing. Gently rub the area in small circular motions but only rub with very fine "0000" steel wool.
