Charles IV (1316-1378) was the monarch during the Golden Age of Bohemia. Charles was responsible for the founding of the first European University, Charles in 1348. During his reign Prague became the cultural capital of Europe and the center of the beginnings of the Czech Republic. These days he is primarily known (outside of the Czech Republic) for the Charles Bridge in Prague- if you have travelled to Prague you have more than likely traversed this bridge.
Ruckl, located in the Czech Republic, was founded in 1846. Czech glass has been known for its artistic and often daring approach to the medium for centuries. Equally adept at form and decor, Mr. Plesl's works for Ruckl are engaging, beautiful and functional. We are honored to be able to bring Ruckl to your home.
