The Gio Ponti Collection from Sambonet represents a modern fusion of classic and Italian design ideal for everyday or extravagant occasions. This flatware is uniquely shaped and beautifully made with refined, polished stainless steel.
The pattern was designed by Giovanni Ponti in 1932. Born in Milan, Italy in 1891, Ponti is known as the father of Italian modern design. After his passing in 1979, his collections of furniture, flatware and other interior designs are being recreated with the help of his grandson, Paolo Rosselli. The works of Gio Ponti have won multiple Good Design and Compasso d'Oro awards and are in numerous museum collections.

In 1856, Giuseppe Sambonet established his company, Sambonet. In its first years, the company became the Official Purveyor to many noble families, including the Duchess of Genoa and the Count of Turin.
