Hav Carafe, 43 oz. by Royal Copenhagen
Product Description:
From the HAV Collection...
The distinctive silhouette of the HAV 130 cl Carafe evokes the graceful chest of a swan, while its subtle asymmetries lend the design a unique and expressive character. At the base, a tactile fish-scale decoration provides a comfortable grip, drawing inspiration from the natural camouflage of fish. Their contrasting dorsal scales and pale undersides help conceal them from predators both above and below the water’s surface. Spray-painted by hand in soft, mist-like hues, the scale pattern captures the ethereal atmosphere of morning fog drifting across the Danish coastline.
HAV offers a contemporary interpretation of Royal Copenhagen’s rich heritage, reimagining classic tableware through a fresh aesthetic that looks towards the future. The collection features versatile, multifunctional pieces in ocean-inspired tones, each hand-spray-painted to evoke the misty shores of Denmark. Delicate fish-scale patterns, carefully crafted by hand, bring an organic texture to every piece, celebrating the beauty of nature and the artistry of Danish craftsmanship.

Behind the Brand...
Proposed as The Royal Danish Porcelain Factory trademark in 1775 by Queen dowager Juliane Marie, every piece of Royal Copenhagen porcelain is instantly recognized by the three blue waves on its underside symbolizing the Sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt - the three main waterways of Denmark.
The delicate decoration of the hand painted porcelain is comparable to the painter own signature and like any other piece of art, Royal Copenhagen skilled blue painters leave their signature on the underside of every piece of porcelain.
