Heritage Turandot Tea Pot by Gianni Cinti for Rosenthal
Product Description:
Heritage Turandot Tea Pot by Gianni Cinti for Rosenthal
The Turandot décor, inspired by the opera of the same name by Giacomo Puccini, is an homage to the 18th century chinoiseries, which already played an important role in the Rosenthal designs of the late 19th century. The poetic porcelain paintings involve a lavish round dance of peony blossoms, bamboo and ginkgo leaves in delicate colours meets golden dragonflies. The shore of the West Lake in Hangzhou, China, the source of inspiration for these paintings, is shown in the interweaving of western and eastern elements.
