Iris Blue Petal Bowl, 9.8" by Royal Copenhagen
From the Iris Collection...
The blue Iris Petal Plate evokes the beauty of a flower in bloom, with eight gently curved edges forming a graceful, petal-inspired silhouette. Its hand-spray-painted glaze transitions from a rich blue at the rim to a softer hue, beautifully enhancing the organic shape of the porcelain. A poetic and elegant addition to any table setting, each piece is individually hand-painted, making every creation unique.

Behind the Brand...
Proposed as The Royal Danish Porcelain Factory trademark in 1775 by Queen dowager Juliane Marie, every piece of Royal Copenhagen porcelain is instantly recognized by the three blue waves on its underside symbolizing the Sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt - the three main waterways of Denmark.
The delicate decoration of the hand painted porcelain is comparable to the painter own signature and like any other piece of art, Royal Copenhagen skilled blue painters leave their signature on the underside of every piece of porcelain.
