Itsumo 24-Piece Cutlery Set by Naoto Fukasawa for Alessi
Product Description:
Itsumo 24-Piece Cutlery Set by Naoto Fukasawa for Alessi
Itsumo, which in Japanese means "daily and forever," was designed by Naoto Fukasawa for Alessi. The pattern's focus is on the outline/form which appears simple and soft. A closer look shows an angle in the design which delineates the form, allowing a 'feel' in the hand and the tongue- along with the weight of the material.
The 24-piece place setting includes six table spoons, six table forks, six table knives and six coffee spoons.
Naoto Fukasawa was born in Yamanashi prefecture, Japan, in 1956. Fukasawa was one of the major players in the noted IDEO design group. A lecturer in the product design department at Musashino art university and Tama art university in Tokyo, his designs have won more than 50 design awards in Europe and America.
