Garry Davis (1921-2013) was a peace and world citizenship activist. Renouncing his US citizenship in 1948, Davis became World Citizen #1.
Davis founded the World Service Authority and began issuing World Citizen Passports and other documents.
He was a strong believer that the loss of national identities would lead to world peace.
A movie of his life was released in 2017.
