No. 08 Folding Knife with Sheath by Opinel
The Classic No 08 knife is a multipurpose knife from camping and hunting to small DIY projects.
The 3.3" blade is in Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel that is corrosion-resistant and has tremendous cutting quality. The Virobloc safety system locks the blade open and close. The handle is in varnished wood. The holster matches the shape of the knife and can be used to transport and protect it.
Made in France.
Even though the OPINEL knife looks simple, its manufacture requires several techniques which are complex when scaled up to an industrial production. The shape of the traditional Opinel knife has remained unchanged since its design by Joseph OPINEL in 1890. To prevent a negative impact on the environment, 95% of the wood for handles comes from sustainably managed French forests.
