No. 10 Corkscrew Knife by Opinel
Product Description:
The No. 10 corkscrew knife is a professional quality corkscrew with 5 spires made of hardened stainless steel for a flawless cork extraction.
Dimensions: 10 cm / 3.9"
The knife uses Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, which is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge. Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, our beech is hard, durable and easy to work.
Made in France.
Caution: The corkscrew must be used with the blade locked in the closed position.
Even though the OPINEL knife looks simple, its manufacture requires several techniques which are complex when scaled up to an industrial production. The shape of the traditional Opinel knife has remained unchanged since its design by Joseph OPINEL in 1890. To prevent a negative impact on the environment, 95% of the wood for handles comes from sustainably managed French forests.
