Ocean Chip and Dip by Michael Wainwright

The Ocean Collection is entirely handmade in Michael Wainwright's studio in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.  The collection is made with a stoneware and porcelain blended clay and finished with a gold edge.  The glazing technique is inspired by all the many shades of blue the seas have to offer.

About the Designer:
Michael Wainwright has been getting his hands dirty in clay since the age of 7.  When he graduated from NYU in 1991 with a degree in clay sculpture, he didn't know what to do for a living, so he sold his handmade wares in street fairs and craft shows around New York City on weekends, carting his wares on a handtruck on the subway. Now Michael Wainwright USA sells to stores big and small across the country, and Michael thinks he has finally figured out what he wants to do in life.
