Paros Sculptures by Enzo Mari for Danese Milano
Product Description:
Designed by Enzo Mari in 1964, each Paros piece is limited to 100 pieces yearly.
The Paros series is named after Paros, a Greek Island where marble was quarried for major classical works. 'Parian' marble is derived from the name of the island. The Paros designs use a number of different marble types in producing objects that place emphasis primarily on the geometry and materials.
Often referred to as a 'Designer's Designer,' Enzo Mari (b. 1932) is one of the most noted and prolific designers of his generation. Mari's method generally involves addressing an issue without preconceived notions of design. The result is a widespread collection of objects that cover many materials and forms.
