"Shiro" Pencil Pot, a design by Adrian Olabuenaga, comes from ACME's line of Designer Desk Accessories. It is made of lacquered steel with actual pencil eraser and was inspired by an umbrella stand designed by Shiro Kuramata, hence the design's name. Packaged in a black ACME box.

ADRIAN OLABUENAGA was born in 1955 in Buenos Aires Argentina but grew up and was educated in Los Angeles , California. Raised with an architectural background,he has from a young age, been inspired by architecture, design and art. Primarily working in a medium of functional art, his first solo show was in 1983, featuring his famous art radios and furniture. In 1985, he founded ACME Studios with Lesley Bailey his wife. His jewelry designs were included in the "MEMPHIS Designers for ACME" collection, as suggested by Ettore Sottsass. His necklace "Atomic" from that collection won him an award with DESIGN Plus, Germany . His brooch and earrings from the same collection were featured in the MEMPHIS exhibition in 2005, at Museum of Decorative Arts in Frankfurt , Germany. Not only is he the CEO, and creative director of ACME but he also currently designs for Ritzenhoff, Boeing, Disney, Mercedes Benz, Warner Bros. and many others, as well as creating corporate identities and branding for many companies.
