Stainless Steel Jigger by Modern Mixologist
Why have multiple jiggers in your kit when you can get all four of the most important measurements in one? Substantially well constructed from stainless steel, the Modern Mixologist Jigger offers 1 ounce and 1½ ounce cups (“A classic pony and jigger,” creator Tony Abou-Ganim says), with etched lines for ½ ounce and ¾ ounce measurements inside.
Like the rest of the line, Abou-Ganim’s designs seek to balance form with function. Take, for example, the silicone sash around the middle of the mixed-finish (polished and brushed) jigger in Abou-Ganim’s signature scarlet. If you’re attracted by the subtly sexy curves, you’re not alone: “It’s also a woman,” he points out. But attractive as they are, these curves are functional, too; liquor is less likely to spill from this straight-edged jigger than from the rim of a widely flared standard issue jigger.
In addition to the jigger and muddler, Abou-Ganim plans to bring a fine-strainer, citrus peeler, zester and bitters bottles to the collection.
