The Vertere Watch by architect Moshe Safdie features a rotating moire pattern. The Moiré pattern—or when an opaque-ruled pattern with transparent gaps is overlaid on another similar pattern—creates a constantly evolving watch appearance. This ocular illusion features three minimalist shapes that allow the reading of time—one red and one blue circle, and a straight yellow line in its center—moving atop a black and white pattern.
