About the Designer:
Erik Höglund (1932–1998) was a revolutionary Swedish painter, sculptor, and graphic artist. He is widely celebrated as the enfant terrible and "wonder boy" of mid-century Swedish studio glass. His work directly upended the sleek, pristine conventions of mid-century Scandinavian minimalism in favor of a raw, primitive aesthetic.
