Vintage i-Series Bird Carafe & Glasses by Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala
Designed by Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala, Finland, the i-Series comprised a number or different forms including carafes, vase, and bowls. The series is recognized for it's lightweight glass and smoky yet vibrant coloring, as well as a dimple in the base.
The series was designed in the mid-1950s to bridge the gap between household articles and art glass, and have a quality that enables them to be functional yet capable of being a beautiful display object.
