Tony recently was at an event at Amusespot where he served his signature American Cocktail. The American Cocktail won the 2003 Gold Medal at the Bacardi Martini World Finals in Turin, Italy.

The American Cocktail was created to represent New York and America.  As Tony states, " I wanted the drink to reflect the city' s originality and diversity." The drink features Puerto Rican Rum, Maraschino Liqueur from Italy, Trinidad Bitters, and Champagne (from France.)

A very complex but delightful drink, this recipe is taken from Tony Abou-Ganim's Book: The Modern Mixologist: Contemporary Classic Cocktails.
